Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Sivivane Fund as a visitor, donor, campaign owner or registered user. By using the platform, creating a campaign or making a contribution, you agree to these terms.

1. What Sivivane Fund is

Sivivane Fund is a community fundraising platform for Eswatini. Campaigns are reviewed before publication, but a review is not a guarantee that a campaign will achieve its goal or that every statement made by a campaign owner is accurate. Sivivane Fund facilitates contributions between donors and campaign owners; it is not the beneficiary of donated funds.

2. Campaign owner responsibilities

• Provide complete and accurate identity, beneficiary and campaign information, and supporting documents when requested.
• Use funds for the stated purpose and respond promptly to reasonable verification and follow-up requests.
• Not run misleading, fraudulent, unlawful or otherwise prohibited campaigns.
• Keep account credentials secure and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access.

3. Donor acknowledgement

Contributions are voluntary. A published campaign has passed the platform's review process, but Sivivane Fund does not guarantee the campaign's outcome, delivery of goods or services, or the campaign owner's use of funds. Contributions may be non-refundable except as described in our Refunds policy.

4. Platform fees

A platform fee may apply to a contribution or approved campaign payout. Before you confirm a contribution, we show the applicable fee, who pays it, the total charged and the amount credited to the campaign. If a payout fee applies, we show the gross payout request, fee and net amount before the request is submitted. Payout fees are not charged per contribution. See Refunds for how contribution fees are treated when a refund is approved.

5. Payments

Payments are processed through the payment provider selected for the contribution, which may include MTN Mobile Money or DeltaPay. A contribution is complete only after the provider confirms the payment and the platform reconciles the transaction. Sivivane Fund does not request or store your Mobile Money PIN or payment credentials.

6. Accounts and security

You are responsible for your account credentials and activity carried out through your account. Sivivane Fund may restrict or suspend an account, campaign or transaction where these terms are breached or where necessary to manage fraud, safety, legal or operational risk.

7. Prohibited use

Prohibited use includes unlawful activity, misrepresentation, money laundering, circumvention of verification, payment abuse, or abuse of the platform, its staff or other users.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sivivane Fund is not responsible for the acts or omissions of campaign owners or donors, or for interruptions and provider outages outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes a liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the platform, law or operating practices. The updated version will be published on this page with a new update date. Continued use after publication means the updated terms apply to future use.
